ESA 2019 – Call for RN-Semi-Plenary Proposals: Deadline Monday, July 30th
ESA conference will take place in Manchester in August 2019. I am writing now with the call for Semi-Plenary Proposals, which should be sent to me by July 30th, 2018 (to be returned to ESA by August 6th). The theme for the conference is Europe and Beyond: Boundaries, Barriers, and Belonging, and semi-plenaries that reflect on this/these theme(s) will have a higher chance of being selected by ESA for inclusion in the programme.
In general, there will be c.10 SPs by RNs (about two more than in Athens). They will take place on 21, 22 and 23 August 2019, in the mornings. Each SP can have either one or two speakers. There are two types of SPs for RNs to choose from and the Conference Committee will select about 5 of each type:
1. Type A: Regular SP by invitation: Type A SPs have to be jointly suggested by at least two RNs.
2. Type B: SP open for abstract submission: If your SP is selected, it will be open for abstract submission and you will choose 1 or 2 abstracts for presentation. Other good abstracts will be ‘switched’ over to your RN(s) and will go into your regular RN sessions. Type B SPs can be suggested by a single RN or jointly by two RNs.
To submit a proposal for consideration, please send us the following information:
